My Health Story

In 2017, I found myself in a dark place both physically and mentally. Working long overnight shifts in retail during the Christmas period, planning my upcoming wedding in May 2018, and dealing with the stressors of everyday life had taken a toll on my health. What started as a flu quickly spiralled into a diagnosis of chronic fatigue at the young age of 26.
For two long months, I struggled with extreme fatigue, brain fog, and a sense of detachment from reality. I had to take time of work. Everyday tasks became overwhelming, and I felt trapped in a cycle of exhaustion and anxiety. Despite having the support of my family, including slow walks with my sister, during which I felt like I was in a dream state and not present, my eyes were glazed like I didn’t have the energy to see. My parents and Fiancé did the housework and most of the cooking. I still experienced an inability to regain energy and suffered “payback” If I overdid it.
It wasn’t until I went on my honeymoon, two days after my wedding, that I experienced a glimmer of hope. The break from routine, stress, and the healing power of rest and relaxation helped to rejuvenate my weary body and spirit. Afterwards I contacted a nutritional therapist who helped me understand the importance of proper nutrition, good sleep habits, and stress management in restoring my energy balance.
Through months of dedication and support from my therapist, I began to see improvements in my energy levels and overall well-being. As I gradually regained my strength, I was able to embrace a healthier lifestyle and eventually pursue my own nutritional therapy diploma. Today, as a passionate advocate for holistic health and wellness, I have dedicated myself to helping others navigate the challenges of chronic illness and find healing through proper nutrition and lifestyle changes.
My journey from debilitating fatigue to renewed vitality has taught me the power of resilience, self-care, and the transformative impact of nourishing our bodies from the inside out. I am grateful for the opportunity to share my story and expertise with others who may be struggling with similar health challenges.
